Nicholas L. Vasilopoulos, Ph.D. is a Strategic Consultant in the NSA’s Office of Recruitment and Hiring with over 25 years of experience developing, validating, and implementing personnel selection systems. He is currently leading the NSA’s initiative to implement a skill-based hiring process designed to improve the applicant experience while ensuring the Agency hires the “best and the brightest” for its critical mission positions. Prior to working in the Office of Recruitment, Dr. Vasilopoulos served as Chief of the Personnel Assessment Research and Development Division responsible for developing and validating high-stakes personnel selection systems. In addition to his applied experience, Dr. Vasilopoulos was a tenured faculty member in the I/O Doctoral program at the George Washington University, with over 100 publications and conference presentations.
